There is plenty of oval racing around Quincy. The most popular is
stock car racing at Quincy
Raceways which holds it's normal racing on Sunday evenings, with
other special events held at other times. TNT Kartways also has a 1/10 mile asphalt oval. It is used
occasional during the regular season, but if more karters wanted to run
it more frequently, TNT would be happy to accommodate.
Another popular oval track is Shimek in Southeast Iowa.
Shimek is approximately 3 miles east of Farmington, IA on Highway 2 and
usually races on Saturday nights. Many Quincy karters enjoy this
track and it enjoys some of the largest kart counts in the area.
For Shimek information please call 319-878-4155.
Other dirt ovals I am aware of are Putnam County Speedway in
Unionville, MO and and Show-Me Speedway in Downing, MO.
Putnam County contact information can be found at their website at
