Quincy forecast.
- The end of the
season is near. The last currently scheduled race is the 50 lapper for
Saturday November 8. HOWEVER, we are currently gathering interest for
another race on Saturday November 15. This would be
an oval race and from what I hear, if there is enough interest they may be a
Turkey for the winner for Thanksgiving!
The main purpose for
this race is one of Quincy's own serving in the military in the Middle East will
be home. Ryan Grave has missed the racing season but is now just getting
back and he wants to race! Tell as many people as you can and let's see
how many will turn out for a little fun and a little bragging rights.
- The VKO went very
well. I don't have the results as of yet but hopefully I can get them soon
and get them posted. If anybody has an pictures they'd like posted or even
just a link to a picture site like photobucket or kodakgallery let me know by
sending me an email.
- Due to the rising
flood waters the Quincy Vintage Kart Olympics has been RESCHEDULED
for October 2-4 this year. Sorry for all those who planned to
attend the event in June this year, but Gus and Terry acted on the better
judgment of discretion just in case the levee did fail. With all the work
on sandbagging, people worried about crossing the bridges, people and equipment
working on the levees it was probably the best decision. Please keep in
mind those communities and families that are already affected by the flooding
and those places where the levees may fail. For those who can help please
volunteer or at least keep those people and communities in your thoughts and
prayers.
- The British are coming the
British are coming! One if by land, two if by C, ... or was that C-open.
Heck I don't what engines those guys run! Anyway, the Vintage Kart
Olympics entry forms and flyers are posted and Gus Traeder says, "I want you".
At least that is what the flyer says,... I don't think he is doing a cover of
Cheap Trick's "I Want You to Want Me" (at least let's hope not).
Click on the picture and it will take you to the VKO forms area.

-Opening
Day Pics - March 29, 2008 - okay I'll admit, these
pictures aren't great. I did too much talking and catching up instead of
many on-track racing pics. Below Joe Johnson taking some notes from his
last run. Just click on the Joe's picture it will take you to the rest of
the pictures.

- Please support the Central State
Super Series!!! TNT Kartways will again host a stop on the series.
This years date is July 18-20 for TNT Kartways. The series for 2008
is the following:
- There is also
another regional series that covers Midwest tracks also that several Quincy area
karters run.
Unfortunately TNT is not on the schedule again this year. Route 66 series information can
be found at www.route66kartracing.com .
If you attend the series please let them know where you are from and urge them
to include Quincy on the their tracks for next year!
I'll apologize as I
did not update the site much in 2007. Probably about as much as I raced,
which wasn't much! If anybody has any pictures they'd like on the site
please let me know. I may be a little slow getting them on though.
